NAMASTE NOMAD are an Irish / Himalayan family run business based in Donegal, Ireland. We run once a year All Inclusive Trips to the Himalayas as well as Nomadic Style Wild Camping trips in Donegal, Ireland. Our story:Twenty years ago a young man called Mohan from Sikkim India left home to find work in the Nepal. He started off portering - carrying the trekker's 45k backpacks in bare feet up the steep Himalayan mountains, then slowly worked his way up to sherpa when he could for the first time afford to buy himself a pair of boots. Next he studied at the Himalayan Institute of Mountineering in Sikkim and gained a Certificate in Mountineering which enabled him to become a lead guide. He eventually opened his own travel agency in East Nepal and in Ladakh, which he ran for five years before meeting his wife Carol from Donegal, Ireland on an Everest Base Camp trek in 2008. The pair are now based in Donegal and have established NAMASTE NOMAD as a way to share their passion of the outdoors, the beauty and peace of the Donegal & Himalayan Mountains and by giving back to the local communities. They're offering Irish people a high quality Himalayan style service where everything is provided, leaving more room to enjoy the experiences; this and the unique opportunity of trekking with their very own Himalayan Guide!
